Apple’s Tim Cook answered on stage at the Verizon iPhone launch that the deal with the big red is ‘non exclusive’. This is enough for some tech pundits to hint for a Sprint iPhone but you know where you are hearing the majority chatter… India! The CDMA iPhone has been in testing for a year and thats a long enough time for them to get this negotiated with other carriers across the globe.
In the past it has been rumored that Reliance or Tata might get the iPhone on-board to boost their CDMA profile. While Tata Docomo is majorly promoting 3G, Reliance has been relatively quite off late. How about the iPhone 4 coming to India in CDMA form? The rumors are pretty valid, but we have our doubts. However sit back and enjoy the iPhone 4 India rumors without any official promises so far 🙂
Ps: given the fact its WSJ who speculated a CDMA iPhone in India there still remains a chance!
